The eight-grader is said to have attempted to find a possible cure for COVID-19.

Anika Chebrolu, a 14-year old Indian-America from Nelson Middle School in Frisco, has been awarded a grand prize of $25,000 in the “3M Young Scientist Challenge.”

In a bid to find the SAR-Cov-2 cure she has used an in-silico methodology for drug discovery to find a molecule that will selectively bind to the spike protein of the Virus.
