After building and maintaining the Trusted Contacts app on iOS and Android few years ago, Google is deciding to retire the app.
The app which was supposed to be a quick and secure way to share your location with close friends or family members so they could remotely keep an eye on you, or even find your location in an emergency, seems to have ra its course.
This became known after Android Police pointed out that it’s the latest Google project to hit the bin, following the demise of Google Latitude and Google+.
The app is said to no longer be available via Google Play or the App Store, and its website indicates support will end entirely as of December 1st.
This is coming just as some other companies are also dropping some services and products that they found not to be doing well so as to focus on the more productive products.
