After breaking his indoor pole vault world record in February, Armand Duplantis (20yrs) has just again this Friday broken his own outdoor pole vault world record, he now holds the record with a 6.15 meters (20 feet 2.1 inches) vault.
Armand who is nicknamed “Mondo” in excitement had said;
“I hit the mat but I haven’t really fallen back to earth, I think I’m still up in the clouds right now. It’s just one of those feelings where you are kind of dreaming a little bit … It’s surreal, it’s surreal, it’s a super-crazy feeling when everything lines up like that and you do a really good performance.”
However, one funny thing was that Duplantis had began celebrating breaking the world record even before he’d hit the crash mat. What a motivation and belief in ones self.
