Med-View under crisis as First Bank allegedly invades it’s properties over a N4bn debt
The Med-View Airline management has expressed dissatisfaction on the invasion and sealing of its properties by some First Bank Plc officials over the alleged N4 billion debt owed to the bank.
According to the Airline, the bank’s invasion its properties in Ikeja and Lekki (Lagos) was in contravention to the court process.
According to the counsel of the Airline Lawal Pedro (SAN), his clients properties were invaded by a team of police officers working for the bank under the guise that it is only executing a court order.
According to the counsel, the ex-parte order given by Hon Justice Lawal Akapo in Suit No. ID/6251/GCMW/22 of Nov 22 did not include taking possession or sealing the properties of the airline, but rather for the assets to be preserved from sales and other alienation pending compliance with pre-action protocol procedure by the First Bank.
While the second and third ex parte orders granted the bank by Hon Justice Oluyemi in Suit No ID/6241/GCMW/22 and ID/6243/GCMW/22 both of Nov 22, granted the bank order to take over the house of the airline’s MD at Olabanji Olajide Street off Admiralty way Lekki Phase 1. pending compliance with pre-action protocol procedures by the bank.
