Princess Kate has been diagnosed with cancer

Princess Kate, the Princess of Wales, announced in March 2024 that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing preventive chemotherapy treatment.

The 42-year-old princess underwent major abdominal surgery in January, which was initially thought to be non-cancerous, but post-operative tests revealed the presence of cancer.

Since her diagnosis, Kate has taken time off from public duties to focus on her treatment and recovery. She made her first public appearance in June at Trooping the Colour, where she rode in a carriage with her children and joined the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

However, she clarified that she is not yet resuming her full royal responsibilities and still has several months of chemotherapy ahead.

In a statement, Kate expressed gratitude for the support and well-wishes she has received and assured the public of her improving health and gradual recovery. She emphasized the importance of privacy during this period and mentioned that she is making good progress, with both good and bad days during the treatment process.

Kate’s children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, have been informed about her diagnosis. The royal family and the Middletons have also expressed their support for Kate during this challenging time.
