The entire board of Cricket South Africa has resigned.
According to Crictracker, the entire board of the Cricket South Africa have resigned following an evolving internal crisis for many days.
Thus, the resignation has now created a space for an interim board of directors to be inaugrated.
In the last few days the Six directors which includes the acting President Beresford Williams stepped down
from their positions after a meeting on Sunday.
However, the other four members gave their resignation laters the following day on Monday 26.
The decision to step down was not clear, but rather it is said to be for the interest of Cricket Sports in the Nation.
The CSA statement on Twitter reads “After the Members’ Council had deliberated and resolved that in order to best serve the interest of Cricket in South Africa, the entire Board should resign – which they did. All Independent and Non-Independent Directors have now resigned. Following the Members’ Council meeting held yesterday, 25 October 2020, the Members’ Council received and accepted resignations from Board members,”
