Will Smith is an American actor and producer. He is best known for his role in the 1990s television sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, for which he received two Golden Globe Award nominations.
He has also starred in numerous films, including Ali (2001), Hancock (2008), Spies in Disguise (2019), and King Richard (2021), for which he won the Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Golden Globe Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor.
In March 2022, Smith caused a stir when he slapped presenter-comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars ceremony.
Smith later apologized and resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, before making his return to social media in July with a YouTube video where he appeared to hold back tears as he addressed his actions.
