Marc Russell Benioff is an American billionaire entrepreneur, philanthropist, and the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Salesforce, one of the world’s leading customer relationship management (CRM) software companies.

Marc Benioff was born on September 25, 1964, in San Francisco, California. His journey from a tech enthusiast to a prominent figure in the tech industry is marked by innovation, vision, and philanthropy.

Benioff’s interest in technology began at a young age. While attending Burlingame High School in California, he became involved in programming, starting with creating video games.

He continued to hone his skills in computer science at the University of Southern California (USC), where he graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

After completing his education, Benioff embarked on his career in the tech industry. In 1986, he joined Oracle Corporation, a multinational computer technology corporation, where he worked for 13 years.

His tenure at Oracle was instrumental in shaping his understanding of enterprise software and sales strategies. Benioff rose through the ranks quickly, becoming one of the company’s youngest vice presidents by the age of 26.

More so, Benioff’s vision was to create a platform that would enable companies to access their customer data from anywhere, at any time, and on any device, thus eliminating the need for traditional on-premises software installations.
