Ukraine Launches Drone Attack on Russian Oil Refineries
Ukraine has launched a series of drone attacks on several oil refineries and military centers in southern Russia, according to reports. The attacks, which took place on Friday, were aimed at disrupting Russia’s oil production and military capabilities.
The Ukrainian military said it targeted the Afipskiy, Ilskiy, Krasnodar, and Astrakhan oil refineries, as well as a radio and intelligence center in the southern region of Russia. The attacks resulted in a series of explosions and a fire with subsequent detonation at a drone preparation and storage area in Krasnodar.
Moscow reported that it had neutralized 114 drones during the attacks. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that its anti-aerial defense systems intercepted and destroyed 70 drones over Crimea and the Black Sea, 43 drones over the Krasnodar region, and one drone over Volgograd.
In Krasnodar, one person was killed in a drone attack near Yuzhny train station, according to local governor Venyamin Kondratyev. Several administrative buildings at an oil refinery in Severski district were also damaged.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has also been making aggressive statements, warning that Russia could use nuclear weapons if its sovereignty is threatened. He has also threatened to deploy Russian weapons in areas close to the United States or Western Europe if they allow Ukraine to fire long-range, Western-made weapons into Russia.
