Have a potluck-style reception where guests contribute a dish, reducing catering costs. Yes, I understand that splitting bills is still not a big thing in some parts of the world, but it might eventually be, given the tough economic times that we are experiencing everywhere.

There is always a very heated debate when people talk about splitting bills on a date, but I can tell you for free, that that trend is gradually leaching into different aspects of our daily lives and marriage is one of them.
With this method, you can appeal to your friends and family member to assist you in reducing the bill by bringing with them some food and drinks to your wedding ceremony so as to reduce the burden on you, of course, some people are not going to comply, but I bet you that many will comply because they want to support you
5. Public Resources
Some places offer free or low-cost wedding ceremonies, like city halls or courthouses. this opportunity should be fully maximized to your own advantage.
Search around your location, you may find places like this. Moreso, some churches also provide services like these where they help people who want to get married but are not financially capable to foot the bill.
I have witnessed a particular ceremony like this in one catholic church and it is called a “mass wedding” and I believe that there might also be other churches that do it, ask around and you will for sure get good references.
6. Ask for Help
Reach out to friends and family who may be willing to help with different aspects of the wedding, like photography or music, or even outright cash assistance.
This method has gradually become a thing of regular amongst people getting married recently, where they create a WhatsApp or Facebook group and then add their friends and solicit assistance for their wedding.
It is a very effective method that should be embraced by anyone that is looking to get married without money.
7. Honeymoon Later
Delay the honeymoon until you can afford it and focus on having a budget-friendly wedding. This should be a no-brainer when you are trying to have a marriage on budget.
Your honeymoon can always come at a later date in the future when you can afford it, and just to put it straight, some people don’t even bother about it at all, they just continue their life and plan for their future because that is more important at the moment.
8. Wedding Registry
Set up a wedding registry with practical items you need, and guests can choose to give meaningful gifts that won’t break the bank and be very useful to you.
What are the benefits of a wedding registry? Many people may ask this because they do not know that this is actually possible. A wedding/bridal registry makes giving more convenient for friend and family and also ensure that the contributions are going to be practically useful for the couple

How does a wedding registry work? Just in case you do not know, with a registry setting, you can select an item from a stock list, these will be the items that you actually need for your new home as a couple, and then file the list with a preferred merchant of yours.
