Travis Scott, a renowned rapper, was arrested in Miami Beach early Thursday morning for trespassing and disorderly intoxication. The incident occurred at the Miami Beach Marina, where officers were called to a disturbance involving a yacht.
According to the Miami Beach Police Department, the incident began at 12:44 a.m. when officers were dispatched to the marina regarding a disturbance call reporting people fighting on a yacht. Upon arrival, they saw Scott standing by the dock and yelling at the vessel’s occupants.
The owner of the boat, who did not want to press charges, requested Scott to leave, but he initially complied by sitting down before repeatedly standing up, disregarding the officers’ commands.
Scott was reportedly getting off a charter boat when the incident began. Authorities detected a strong smell of alcohol on his breath and warned him to leave the dock, threatening arrest if he returned.
Scott left the property but continued to yell, causing further disturbances. He was taken into custody and transported to the Miami Beach Police Department, where he admitted to consuming alcohol, stating, “It’s Miami.”
Travis Scott Arrest Charges
Scott faces charges of trespassing on property after a warning and disorderly intoxication. He was held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with bonds set at $500 and $150. His bond was later submitted, and he was released from jail, but it is unclear if he will need to appear before a judge regarding this incident.
Travis Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, is a 33-year-old musician known for his chart-topping hits and dynamic performances. Scott rose to fame with his debut studio album “Rodeo” in 2015 and has since become a prominent figure in the music industry.
He is known for his energetic live shows and successful albums, including “Astroworld” and “Rodeo.”
Scott has faced legal issues in the past, including civil lawsuits related to the tragic crowd surge at his 2021 Astroworld festival in Houston, which resulted in ten fatalities and left numerous individuals injured. Despite the grand jury’s decision not to file any criminal charges against Scott and five others, this incident adds to his legal woes.
