US Election: Georgia set to Recount Votes for President Trump

vote count

Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has said that the state of Georgia would have a vote recount because of the slim election margin, thereby declaring that its too close to call.

According to him “Right now, Georgia remains too close to call. There will be a recount.”

This is said to be possible as candidates are allowed to request a recount under Georgia state law if the margin of victory is less than 0.5%.

Earlier on Joe Biden had gained a small lead over President Donald Trump early on Friday morning with about about 1,100 votes.

President Trump has said and continues to insist (even though without evidence yet) that there are ballot irregularities going on.
