Google Podcasts is a simple design podcast app that was previously known as Google Play Podcast.
It is a podcasting app released by Google in June 18, 2018.
The Google podcast is a free app which is available on both Android and iOS and it is also available as a web version.
The app is well integrated with the Google Assistant and Google Home, however, the design is so simple and easy to use that any body can easily get started on it in no time.
Even though there are many other podcast app for Android and iOS, the Google podcast app is very efficient and liked by many especially after it was redesigned using the Google Material Theme.
The app is very efficient in aggregating different podcasts because of the AI integration which Google is using to improve listening experience.
How to use the Google podcast
The app interface is very much the same with that of Android and iOS and the web version is at podcasts.google.com.

When you access the app for the first time all you will see is the Home , Explore and Activity tabs.
Further more, you will be visibly prompted to add any of your favorite podcasts, and after listening to different podcasts, your page will immediately transform to display more related recommendations.
In the explore section, you will find the search bar and also tabs for different podcast categories such as News, Technology, Comedy and others.
On the activity section you will find your queued up podcasts and the ones you have downloaded for offline listening and also your subscription and history.
Google Podcasts on Android and iOS

On the web, you’ll see a list of top podcasts by category with a search bar at the top.
Depending on whatever podcast you have interest in, all you have to do is to search for it or simply tap on it if it is already recommended and then you choose from a list of the episodes.
When you are on the episode description page, then you can either play the episode, download it, or mark it as played.
If you like the podcast and want to subscribe to it, just go to the podcasts page and tap on subscribe and also unsubscribe if you want to at any time from the Pop up menu.
